Evelyne Franc, DC

Sister Evelyne Franc DC was born on August 3, 1948 in Lyon, France. On June 9, 2003, during the General Assembly she was elected the present Superioress General of the Congregation of Daughters of Charity for the first six year term.

Before she was elected the successor of St. Louise de Marillac, from March 2000 she served as Treasurer General. Earlier she worked on the mission in Zaire (presently Republic of Congo) between 1982 and 1984. In 1985 she went to the mission on Taiwan. In 1996 Sister Evelyne was elected Vice-Visitatrice of the Vice-Province of China. She held this post until March 2000.
