1647 In 1647, M. Portail writes to St. Louise that the pope has granted the indulgences that she requested. The pope granted them to St. Louise and the Daughters of Charity alvie at the time because they dedicated themselves to the service of the poor.


1907 In 1907, Fr. Teofilo Juan Gaujon, C. M., dies in Trujillos, Peru. He was unique naturalist specializing in butterflies. This made him a friend of the feared “jíbaro” indians. The greater part of his collection is found today in the Catholic Institue of Paris
