General Assembly of Daughters of Charity 2003

The General Assembly was opened on May 20, 2003 in the Motherhouse in Paris. There were two basic goals: election of new Superioress General and revision of Constitutions and Statutes. 183 delegates and visitatrices from 78 provinces of 93 countries took attended the Assembly.

On June 9 new Superioress General was elected - Sister Evelyne Franc DC who was Treasurer General before election. She replaced sister Juan Elizondo DC on this post.

On June 16 new Council General was elected, too. Sister Rosa María Miro Miro FC (Province of Pamplona, Spain) became head of the Council. Other counselors became: Sr Christa Bauer from Austria, Sr Margaret Barrett from United Kingdom, Sr Lidia Tamayo Valencia from Columbia, Sr Marie Bernard Giffard from France, Sr Maria Rosa Camminati from Province of Siena, Italy, Sr Marlene Therezinha Rosa from province of Curitiba, Brazil, Sr Zofia Daniscakova from Slovakia, Sr Wivine Kisu from Congo and Sr Julma Neo from Philippines.
