1816. First vow date in Sisters of Charity of Nazareth, KY (SCN)
1835. Medical Examiners allow John Gabriel Perboyre, born January 5, 1802, to embark a ship to start mission in China. Perboyre volunteered for the trip. He leaves port of La Havre on March 21 and arrives to Macao on August 29. At the end of 1835 he reaches his destination -- Han Kou and Hou Pei. Died, strangled on September 11, 1840. Pope Leo XIII beatified him on November 10, 1889 and pope John Paul II canonized him on June 2, 1996.
1839. Mother Maria Boulet, the Superior General of Daughters of Charity, officially recommends to use the invocation "O Mary, Concepted Without Sin..." for the first time. It will be included in all spiritual exercises of the Community in 1858.
1858. Province of Peru of Daughters of Charity is erected. First 55 Daughters and two Vincentian priests and one brother arrive to the country few days earlier.
