1663 After a four months journey the last group of Missionaries that Vincent had intended to send to Madagascar arrive there. Fr. Almeras was responsible for the realization of this project. In previous journeys some of the missionaries had died on board the ship or been drowned. During this last journey the boat almost collided with an iceberg.
1671
Fr. Almeras announces that Pope Clement X had granted new favors to the Congregation. This was the result of a petition made to the Holy See by Cardinal Spinola who was very enthusiastic about the results of the missions that were given in his Diocese.

In the presence of Fr. Etienne, a statue is erected in the plaza of Chatillon-les-Domes. This statue is the work of the sculptor E. Cabuchet.
1883
After their retreat, a group of priests from Perigueux, together with their bishop, Bishop Dabert, make a pilgrimage to Chateua-l’Eveque. They are joined by 80 Daughters of Charity who also have just completed their retreat. During the Mass, which was celebrated by the bishop, he said: "Let this mark the beginning of the pilgrimages here. We hope that members of the Saint Vincent de Paul Society, the Volunteers of Charity, the Marian Youth and all the faithful will participate in these pilgrimages.
