1658: In a letter to Mr Pinion, father of Peter Pinion, born on June 19, 1630 who took his vows in the congregation on October 14, 1657 Vincent de Paul explains, that members of the Congregation are not religious until they take simple vows. And that the vow of poverty does not impede disposition of properties and goods, as well its fruits and rents unless it is certainly allowed by the superiors.
1953: After few week of illness Fr Albert Narguet, treasurer general of the Congregation, dies in the infirmary of Maison Mere in Paris. He was born on July 27, 1873 in merchant northern town of Lille, France. On June 12, 1897 is ordained priest by msgr Paul Maria Reynaud. Then he continues studies in Rome. Two years later he returns from Rome achieving two doctorates in theology and philosophy, and is sent to the major seminary in Meaux and Montpellier. On November 18, 1919, Superior General, Fr Verdier, names him Treasurer General of the Congregation, which post he has held until death.
