1660: Conference of Vincent de Paul at Saint Lazare about silence concerning its reasons, places, times and ways it is failed and about means to observe it.

1711: The 8th General Assembly started in Paris. It had to start week earlier but it was necessary to wait for delegates from Italy and Poland and for Fr. Hénin, the Visitor of Aquitaine. Two days later twenty eight delegates gathered under chairmanship of Fr Jean Bonnet, Vicar General have elected the successor of Fr Francis Watel, Superior General, who died on October 10, 1710. Fr. Bonnet was chosen as new Superior General, the sixth in line of succession. In a climate of peace and mutual charity, the Assembly reviewed some of the rules and asked Fr Bonnet to remind Visitors and Superiors about vigilance. Finally, the Assembly submitted to the prudence of the successor of Saint Vincent few requests. Among them one was about young people getting accustomed to preaching, teaching and other functions of the Congregation. He answered delegates: " Do not expect young people that after eight or ten years of studies they are clever, too". He added, that last six months of third year Theology will be used to bring students and seminarians to exercise in tasks they are intended. After ninth session, the eighth Assembly ended on May 18.

1870: Day of unrest and disorder in Paris. Some Sisters of the Hospice of Issy-les-Ménages, arrived to the Mother House. Since two days, the premises have been bombed and bombed. Several patients were killed. They evacuated the house, but sick and infirm were still left there . The sisters responsible for the care did not want to abandon them. The situation worsened in whole capital. Calumnies and false news were spread profusely.
