1638 In 1638, Cardenal Richelieu signs a contract with St. Vincent to send Missioners to the city of Richelieu which was one of the most important foundations at the beginning of the CM. The Congregation will remain there until 1885.


1821 In 1821, in Emmitsburg, Maryland, Elizabeth Ann Seton dies at the age of 47. She founded the first congregation of Consecrated Life in America.
