1654: At Saint Lazare St. Vincent preaches a conference about Lent .

1796: Vannes, France. At 9 o'clock a.m. St. Pierre René Rogue is guillotined on Hôtel-de-Ville square. Earlier in the prison he wrote a letter to his mother and confreres. He also encouraged other prisoners, especially Fr. Alain Robin with whom was decapitated.

1926: In Paris, Fr. Alfredo Milon (born May 9, 1844) dies. He was Secretary General of the Congregation of the Mission from 1892 to 1914.
