1647: Louise speaks about her thoughts on Holy Communion and on the same day Vincent speaks to the Daughters of Charity on this same theme. We see that this ideas are typical of the time in which they live.

1649: Louise writes to the Daughters at Nantes expressing her pain and fear that they will be asked to leave the hospital. She is concerned that the Sisters have created this situation because they did not take time to become inculturated in this place, for example, in the eating habits and manner of preparing their food etc.

1792: A law is promulgated in France that suppresses the religious orders. The Congregation is effected by this law but the Daughters of Charity were excluded on the list of orders suppressed.
