Our Lady of Angels Association is a Development Office for the Eastern Province of the Congregation of the Mission (the Vincentian Community). The Association promotes love for and devotion to Our Blessed Mother under her special title of OUR LADY OF ANGELS. Inspired by the charism of Saint Vincent de Paul, the Association encourages its members and benefactors to support, through their prayers and donations, the education and formation of Vincentian priests, brothers, and seminarians; and it encourages them to be partners with the members of the Vincentian Family in their ministries with and for the poor.

HISTORY - St. Vincent de Paul founded the Congregation of the Mission (the Vincentians) in 1625 to preach the Gospel to the poor and to work for the formation and education of the clergy. Today, the Vincentians are a community of priests and brothers working in many nations throughout the world. The Vincentians came to the United States in 1818. The Eastern Province was established in 1888.

One hundred years after the Vincentians came to this country, in April of 1918, Father Martin Blake, C.M. founded Our Lady of Angles Association at Niagara University, New York. Father Blake dedicated the Association to the work of spreading devotion to Our Blessed Mother under her title of Our Lady of Angels. He invited donors to assist the Vincentians in their work of forming and educating seminarians who were studying at the Seminary of Our Lady of Angels, then located on the Niagara University campus.

Our Lady of Angels Association supports the ministries of the Eastern Province of the Congregation of the Mission.

Today, the Association –

  • Fosters love for and devotion to Our Blessed Mother

  • Supports the Eastern Province of the Vincentian Community in the formation and education of priests, brothers, and seminarians

  • Supports Vincentian ministries whose purpose is to assist the poor.

Our Lady of Angels Association is able to fulfill its purposes through the generosity of its members and benefactors. In addition to sharing in the ministries of the Association, members and benefactors share in the many spiritual benefits offered by the Association.
