1647 A Council meeting of the Daughters of Charity. We receive much information about the education of children in the 17th Century as well as further information about the origins of the Company. At this meeting Louise steps down for her role of Director of the Internal Seminary and Sister J. Loret is assigned to this position.

1678 Fr. J. Barreau dies. Vincent asked that he be appointed the French Consul in Argel where later he was imprisoned and tortured because of his work with the slaves.

1856 Father Etienne writes to Alexander II, the Czar of Russia, asking him to look kindly upon the Vincentian foundations in Poland. The Czar never responds.
