1647 In a letter from Cardinal Mazarin to Vincent we see the influence that Vincent had with the Queen and as a member of the Council of Conscience where he was able to influence the naming of bishops.

1718 In a circular letter of the Superior General, Fr. Bonnet, the establishment of nineteen provinces for the Daughters of Charity is announced. One of these provinces will be that of Poland.

1768 The construction of a new church for the Congregation of the Mission is begun in Barbastro (Spain). The Congregation will remain in this Church until 1836, the time of the suppression of the Congregation.

1793 Fr. Victor Julienne is condemned to the guillotine for his refusal to take the Oath. He dies in prison before he is executed.

1797 The remains of Louise de Marillac are once again restored to their proper place. Because of the French Revolution, they had been moved to different houses.

1800 Birth of Justin de Jacobis en San Fele.

1843 The first Daughters of Charity arrive in Naples. These women had their origins in France.

1919 Cardinal Vico, the Prefect for the Sacred Congregation of Rites and the Legate of Pope Benedict XV arrives at the Motherhouse in Paris and spends several days there while participating in the festivities that surround the consecration of the Basilica of Montmartre.
