Congo refers to two neighboring countries in Central Africa. Republic of the Congo (ROC) is also known as Congo-Brazzaville; Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC or DR Congo) is sometimes referred to as Congo-Kinshasa.

"Congo" can also refer to the area drained by the Congro River, which is between the Gulf of Guinea and the African Great Lakes.
