1856. In the house at l'Epée-de-Bois street, Jeanne Marie Rendu, known as Sister Rosalie, dies. She was superioress there since 1815. She has received the sacrament of sick day before. Beatified on November 9, 2003 by pope John Paul II.

1893. In Rome. Father Albert Barberis CM, receives a congratulations letter from pope Leo XIII to acknowledge Fr. Barberis' work as founder and director of established in 1879 by him "Divus Thomas" -- a well known revue of philosophy and theology.

1944. At 5 a.m. Gestapo entered the Vincentian house of Holy Cross in Warsaw, Poland. It was an element of planned action to catch as many priests as possible in cities of General Governship (Krakow, Lublin, Radom, Warsaw). Detained were all priests: Jan Rzymelka, Jana Dim, Jozef Florko, Paszyna, Szyma?ski, Le?ko, Skorupi?ski, Bauer, Cechol, Ornat, Schweichler, Niedziela, Jan Serzysko, Kus; all brothers Wojciech Bogacz, Teofil Ostrowski, Ludwik Muzalewskio, Aleksander Cap, Jozefa Stopi?ski and lay personnel: an organist and two Sacristans. On this occassion Nazis plundered the HOuse and church. Soon, five priests and a brother were released. But other eight Vincentian confreres, including Fr. Rzemelka - Superior-- were transported to Gross-Rosen concentration camp. Five of them died in the camp. In 1945 they were transported to other camps in the heartland of Third Reich (KL Dora-NOrdhausen and KL MIttlebau). Fr. Jozef Florko is Servant of God.
