1640 Louise writes Vincent and in this letter we see her gifts of knowledge and intelligence, her ability to handle business matters and the abandoned children and her influence with the Ladies of Charity.

1640 Saint Louise writes the Abbot deVaux stating that if Francis de Sales never rejected any young woman for the Visitation Order because of her poverty than the Daughters of Charity should not refuse women entrance in the Congregation because they do not have the money to pay for their trip to the Internal Seminary.

1652 Bishop Solminihac clarifies the fact that Vincent is no longer a member of the Council of Conscience. In a letter to Vincent he states: “I really think that you are losing nothing personally in being freed of the burden you had, but this is a great loss for the Church, so it would be most desirable if you were still in that position.”

1710 An epidemic besieges Paris and many Vincentians living at Saint-Lazare would die. Among the dead are Fr. F. Watel, the Superior General of the Congregation of the Mission and the Daughters of Charity.

1967 The Superior General of the Daughters of Charity, Susan Guillemin, presents another Daughter of Charity to the Cardinal Prefect of the Congregation for Religious. This Daughter, with three other religious will form part of the Roman Curia. It is the first time that a woman is a member of the Curia.
